Artist Statement

I work with everyday materials in a straightforward studio setup, paying close attention to how light, space, and physical detail shape the photograph. My process is slow and observational: objects are arranged, adjusted, and studied until their natural character comes through without forcing a narrative or effect.

Integrity is central to my practice. I photograph things as they are, without manipulation, embellishment, or digital alteration that changes their truth. The textures, surfaces, and physical qualities of each object are allowed to speak for themselves. This approach is both ethical and practical — it keeps the work honest and keeps me accountable to what’s actually in front of the lens.

Whether I’m making still life images, playful constructions, or close macro studies, the goal is consistent: to show how ordinary materials can hold attention when treated with care and respect. The photographs aren’t about transforming the subject; they’re about recognizing its presence and letting that be enough.
